In the Heart of “the Manche”, 30 kms from Cherbourg and a 1 hour drive from Caen-Ouistreham, on the Normandy landings site, close to the Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernesey, Aurigny), near the Mont Saint Michel, Tatihou Island opposite to Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue fishing port, Sainte Mère Eglise has witnessed important events which have marked the twentieth century.

Situated near the “Boundary stone 0” marking the first steps towards freedom during the Normandy landings of June, 6th 1944.The Hotel Restaurant and steakhouse “The Sainte Mère” will receive you in a warm and convivial setting.

Our structure disposes of 41 pleasant and comfortable rooms ( including 2 rooms made-up for the disabled), all equipped with a bathroom, a telephone with a direct line, a free WIFI access and a television with numerous channels ( satellite TV and 4 British Channels).

You will spend peaceful nights in a very restful atmosphere and the verdant Norman countryside.

At the entrance of the town of Sainte Mère, you will easily find our restaurant « la Contentine » and you will be given a warm welcome.

You can take your time for lunch if you wish.
